Yes, absolutely. If you’ve never driven a car and you live with a disability, specialised driver training with Drive Smart Driving School, combined with a driver OT assessment from estara’s occupational therapists, can guide you on the path to getting your L’s, P’s and full licence.
-
If you live with a disability or medical condition that may impact your ability to drive, you will need to complete a Service SA form with support from your health practitioner.

Our modified driving instruction vehicle has a passenger-side brake. While you are adjusting to the modified controls of the vehicle and learning how to operate the car, your instructor can brake if needed to prevent a collision.
Your driving instructor is skilled in supporting and guiding you to drive a modified vehicle, with understanding and patience. You’ll gain confidence as you practice driving, knowing your instructor will be there to guide you through the steps to gaining your license.
