How will my donation be used?

Your invaluable support empowers us to expand our reach and effectuate substantial improvements in the well-being of the disability communities we are dedicated to serving.

Your donation will be used to support these important investments that improve the quality of life for people living with spinal cord injury or disability in South Australia.

We aim to create equal opportunities for participation and inclusion in the community where it will have the greatest impact.

We are committed to being transparent and open about our use of funds, so you can find examples of our social impact in our Annual Report Summary which outlines our charitable activities each year.

How donations have supported Social Impacts

Every contribution made and dollar earned through our services is immediately allocated towards funding initiatives designed to foster significant and enduring change.

Donations support our aim to infuse inclusivity into the essence of each community; supporting our endeavours to dismantle barriers and create spaces where every individual, regardless of their disabilities, can engage to their potential.

In 2023, estara allocated $75,000 for installing 30-metre beach access mats and two beach wheelchairs at Glenelg Beach. A similar initiative is planned for Goolwa, extending our resolve to make leisure and recreational activities universally accessible.

Other significant contributions include:

  • Donating a $50,000 Paragolfer to West Beach Parks, making the game of golf accessible to people living with a disability.
  • Contributing $200,000 towards advanced gym equipment for the Repat Spinal Injuries Unit, improving physical rehabilitation.
  • Providing $200,000 to support vocational training for individuals with spinal cord injuries, aiding their pursuit of economic independence.
  • Enhancing accessible bathroom facilities at Adelaide Zoo, to ensure a comfortable visit for all.
  • Committing annually $100,000 towards vital equipment for older adults living with disabilities.
  • Delivering $1.4 million in in-kind support for disability aids during the 2022-2023 period.
  • Our sponsorship of significant sports teams and events, including the Norwood Football Club Wheelchair team, The Teakle Cup in Port Lincoln, and the SA Sharks Wheelchair Rugby team, signifies our dedication to fostering inclusivity through sports.

Hayley - client testimonial

“Public spaces are for everyone to enjoy and it shouldn’t come down to choosing a location, based on accessibility.

Being able to provide myself and others in the community with a sense of normality is what I hope to achieve throughout my career as an Interior Designer.”
