Your role

As an estara Support Worker, you will work with our clients in their homes and the community to enable their utmost independence and improve their quality of life, making a real impact across the South East community. We are seeking workers particularly in the Millicent, Naracoorte and Mount Gambier regions. We kindly request that you include details of your preferred location in your application.

*Successful applicants will be required to attend a paid introduction training session from 7th - 11th April 2025. This training is mandatory and successful applicants must be available to attend all days in full.

Your role

As one of estara’s Operations Supervisors, you will work closely with our dedicated In-home and Community Support team, focussing on our impact across Greater Adelaide.

Day-to-day, you will provide operational oversight and guidance for our client services team, ensuring the seamless provision of high-quality support to our clients. Your expertise in person-centred support and safeguarding will respond to the evolving NDIS landscape, empowering our clients’ choice and control.

Your keen interpersonal skills and solutions-oriented approach will be key to driving improvement initiatives, including workforce development and the optimisation of rostering processes. This is a truly multi-faceted role that will allow you to innovate and excel in your career.

Essential

• Tertiary qualifications in Human Services, other relevant industry experience, and demonstrated experience in a rostering capacity

• Ability to delegate effectively to empower and develop your team

• Highly developed interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to communicate with a diverse range of people and maintain a high level of customer service

• Competence to work effectively in an autonomous role

• Ability to respond with empathy and maintain calm in stressful circumstances

• Problem-solving and time management skills

Desirable

• Demonstrated frontline leadership experience

• Experience within the Disability sector

• Knowledge of NDIS worker requirements in relation to restrictive practices and person-centred support

Special conditions

• Current South Australian full drivers’ licence is essential

• DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check and any relevant Screenings as stipulated by DHS/NDIS with at least 6 months’ validity

• Intrastate travel and work outside of normal business hours as required

• Participation in an afterhours on-call roster where required
